The project team will be working to complete the SCORP document by the end of April 2024. The project is divided into the following categories.

Task Force Committee (TFC): This is a group of stakeholders from various public organizations. Members include representatives from the Planning Development Districts, MS Recreation & Parks Association, and MS State Parks.

Public Engagement: Public engagement is crucial to guiding the SCORP document. There will be 4 public hearings, one in each of the State’s congressional districts. There will also be a community survey for users to fill out and provide input.

Writing the SCORP: After the public engagement is complete, the project team will begin writing the SCORP document. The document will be reviewed by the National Parks Service and adopted by the Governor.
